Dear @hiddenite

I find your choice of forum name inspiring and filled with hope. Thanks so much for sharing all that with us. I also look forward to learning more, as I know nothing about crystals. I want to second what Nik said about the amazing progress you have made, I know it probably doesn't feel like it in the throes of flashbacks and triggering, but I see this too. I think Rick mentioned the strength within survivors, and you have that my friend - even though you feel weak.

I am still struggling a lot with my own messy stuff at the moment but I wanted to let you know I have been trying to follow your "thread" and you are in my thoughts & prayers. I find being in the bush helpful and a solace too.

I have contacted WIRE before, if you haven't already looked them up I thought you might find it helpful that they have a live online chat option which is available 9am-5pm Mon-Fri. I hope this helps make it more accessible for you.

Finally I want to share something with you that has helped me many times when I have been afraid and overwhelmed by my circumstances (I have a banner on my door which says this).

Courage: Not the absence of fear or despair, but the determination to persist in the face of them.

I see great courage in you. Keep going please, you are getting there - it might feel excruciatingly slow (and I'm appalled the CATT team think it's ok to say they'll get back to you in a week) but you are.

Hope, for helpful help, endures my friend. Please take care of you.

Kindest regards,

Kristin
