Mind and Matter

Brain is part of our physical body and condition of brain can affect our body and condition of body can affect the brain.

This can mean a way to mankind's heart is through its stomache 😁 and but aswell what happens in brain can be physically resulted in other parts of body. Maybe digestion. Or arthritis. Or balding head.

And it makes sense then when approach to mental health is including wholeistic interventions. I heard even just dieting on meat has dissolved depression away for some people. Idk, I eat different things.

Hi @Macey

I agree, that food can have an impact on our mental and physical health. In my own experience, after I changed my diet to eating salad and fruit every day, and exercising for 30 minutes each day, I noticed a change in my mood and my body. After talking to my doctor and getting a blood test done, I was also low on Vitamin D, B1, B12 and magnesium, after supplementing I felt even a lot calmer, and my mind and nervous system also calmed down. Self-care, meditation and mindfulness are also beneficial.

Hey @Macey

No, it's the recommendation from my doctor after lifestyle and physical assessment.

Re: Mind and Matter

It is true. There have also been studies that show that the food we eat also plays a significant role in mental health. Many foods have been proven to aid in better mental health as the food we intake affects our mental health, which is why it is very important to consume foods that nourish both our minds and bodies and make us healthy. Today, where we have more processed food and junk, it can lead not only to our deteriorating physical health but also our mental health. The food we eat gives us energy and improves our overall cognitive function. So, we need to know what we eat and practice mindful eating for a healthy lifestyle.
