So I am having huge huge huge trouble with food and eating at the moment it is taking up around 85-90% of my day. I hate everything and I am so tired and I just want to cry but I can't talk to anyone about this I don't know what to do anymore.

Have been thinking about what to say for hours @Eden1919 and I'm not much help. I also have food troubles. I sounds like yours are really plaguing you. It's very hard to talk about. Do you have a sympathetic psychologist? Take care

Hi @Eden1919
I'm Flipper one of the SANE moderators. Sorry to hear you are having issues with food and eating at the moment, I understand that having these constantly your mind can be both consuming and exhausting.
What kind of troubles have you been having, and what helps you when you are experiencing them?
Although I don't know the full nature of what you're experiencing, I just want to equip you with some information in case you aren't aware- there is an agency called Eating Disorders Victoria who have a helpline which operates from Monday-Friday and from 9-5pm. The helpline operators can assist you with finding a psychologist or GP who specialises in issues related to eating, and/or give you more information about these things, assisting you with exploring treatment options that are suitable for you or even just offering some support (even if you are in a different state). The EDV number is 1300 550 236.
@Faith-and-Hope and @Sonnenklar might have some suggestions/insights into what you are experiencing as well.
I hope today is a little easier for you,
- Flipper

Thanks for the tag @flipper ....
Hi @Eden1919 ..... sorry it’s taken me a little while to respond. I’m not feeling 100% today and have been lying down all afternoon.
I would have given you the EDV helpline that @flipper has and suggest you give them a call. Here is an email contact for them too -
help@eatingdisorders.org.au
They have been a tremendous support for me in my situation with my hubby’s issues, and I joined Sane via their website.
If you want to chat here, please do. If nothing else, it really helps to be able to be heard nd understood.
Hugs ....

They will absolutely take you seriously @Eden1919, because what you are describing are the feelings and ideas that exist behind disordered eating and eating disorders. This is the nature of the illness, and the earlier you can get help for it, the better the recovery outcomes are,
Picking up the phone, or chatting online, is the start .... the first step.
8 had to take that first step to receive support as a carer, and you are already streets ahead of my hubby because he doesn’t understand that there is a problem with how he is thinking and behaving, but you do.
Take courage Hon and keep reaching out. There are counsellors waiting to support you and help you through this.
💐💕

Do you have meds to help with sleep @Eden1919 ? Maybe a hot shower and try to sleep ? Sometimes that is the best thing to do when thoughts and feelings are too overwhelming.
