Re: The Beer Garden

I think I need to be on a safe part of this site tonight. Been here 5 min and already triggered to the bejeezus.
Since I'm not allowed to drink at the moment, I'll have a lime and soda, thanks.

Re: The Beer Garden

Hi @Former-Member. Have you heard if a bed is available? I'm guessing it is pretty full this time of year. Sorry you got triggered. I think I know where from. How has your day been apart from on here?

Re: The Beer Garden

No bed, and I think I'd have to wait until thursday (pay day) until I could go in- I only have $500 left on my cc and I think my deductible for hospital is $600.
My day has been okay. Just trying to keep it all together. Got stronger sleeping meds, so I had a really good nights sleep last night which was good.
How has your day been?

Re: The Beer Garden

Sleep makes a huge difference @Former-Member. Yeah maybe try to just have a holiday at home or as my psych prescribed the other month - hospital at home. Can you buy something nice for you to enjoy while your at home to make it feel a bit better. My day has been up and down. Finished the last of my TAFE work and had it marked so I know I've passed. Had therapist appointment and slept for about 2 hours after it. My friend is about to drag my backside to look at Christmas lights in the area with her.

Re: The Beer Garden

I really like that idea of hospital at home. My biggest worry is letting my parents know I'm not feeling well. But 'having a holiday' is a pretty good cover for not getting out of bed and watching too much tv.
Yay for passing TAFE! And I love christmas lights. Grab a beer and go for a walk after dinner. Love it. ๐Ÿ˜„

Re: The Beer Garden

@Former-Member In my week term I managed two hospital stays and being all over the place but luckily my lecturer was supportive. I used to love Christmas lights. I'll see how I go tonight.๐Ÿ˜ฏ

I think the hospital at home was ok. I was given the medication I would have got in hospital and had phone support if I needed. The rest of the time I was just meant to do activities I would have in hospital so I guess watching TV and sleeping pretty much covers it. I reckon take some of that $500 your saving and buy a treat to have every day like ice cream or something - nothing too flash but just to remind you it's you time so you could make it something different to what you'd normally have. I think if I had a spare $30 I'd buy some mood reeds for my bedroom, a bit extravagant but it would make me feel better I think.

I'll be kicking around a bit this week if you want to tag me to say hi.

Re: The Beer Garden

Thanks @Former-Member. ๐Ÿ˜˜ I'm making gingerbread now. Better than stressing out before I go to sleep. Not a "hospital activity", but I'm pretty sure it's therapeutic!
