Re: Everything music

Coldplay are just too damn nice all the time @TAB @greenpea

No edge (not the guitarist)

But hey, they would not giving a flying fig what I think! They have been massively successful and have plenty of admirers to say I don't know what I'm talking about! lol

(And yeah, it is Great that we don't all love all the same stuff...how boring would that be?)

Re: Everything music

Re: Everything music

@StuF  so true StuF.  how are you today?  beautiful weather again.  went for a drive with my support worker.  just stunning.  you know how when there is a change of season into autumn the leaves glisten ... well they were todayi love it x

Re: Everything music

@TAB  you know what really upsets me off is that i never criticize any music or anything for that matter that you like but you tear apart mine.  if you dont like that is fine but dont make me feel like shit for liking cp for example is not right TAB

Re: Everything music

Drive sounds awesome @greenpea

I must do one meself soon

So much nicer working when it's not so hot/humid

Re: Everything music

@StuF   if you could go for a drive anywhere now where would you go?

Re: Everything music

Good question @greenpea

How long have I got?

Re: Everything music

@greenpea Just played it. Thanks.

I got sick of loud music opinions in rocknroll, pop, and classical in my 20s. I am lucky to have met enough good and bad musos all my life and work in the field since I was 13. Grateful. I go for being diplomatic too. I am more academic and interested in the reasons why people like certain stuff, often cos heard it in their impressionable years. Hugs bella

Re: Everything music

@StuF   you have got as long as you want!  i want to drive to Ivanhoe which is this tiny village in the middle of nowhere in nsw.  i think there is just a pub which is all i need.

there is a poem about ivanhoe goes something like this :

Irish Lords

The barley grass was two feet high, the billabongs were full,
The brolgas danced a minuet, the world seemed made of wool,
The nights were never wearisome, the days were never slow,
When first I went to Irish Lords, on the road to Ivanhoe.

The frost was on the barley grass as we passed the homestead rails,
A darling jack@ss piped us in, with his turns and trills and scales,
Youth and health and happiness, sat on the saddle bow,
And Mary lived at Irish Lords, on the road to Ivanhoe.

And everywhere was happiness, the fates were fair and kind,
We drank the very wine of life, we never looked behind,
And Mary, Mary everywhere, was flitting to and fro,
When first we went to Irish Lords, on the road to Ivanhoe.

The window on a leafy byre, where the golden banksia grew,
Stared like a dead man's glassy eye, for the roof had fallen through,
No flowers in her garden-bed, and her voice stilled long ago,
When last I went to Irish Lords, on the road to Ivanhoe.
