Cultivating compassion and mindfulness starts with enhancing self-awareness, empathy, and connection with ourselves and others. It is because when we know ourselves better in every way- what we like, what hurts us, what we dislike, and our emotions, it might be easy for us to understand the feelings of others better. While putting ourselves before others is a very good thing, we must be compassionate towards other people and their feelings. Being empathetic and kind can often be a task in a cold and disconnected world. But it is crucial to choose to be kind and compassionate in this world over everything.
