Re: The Virtual Village - a space for parenting 'stuff'

@CheerBear 🙂 Hi it's your Flinstone Character Moderator who has found the secret to falling asleep Smiley LOL that really made me laugh when I you said that.

I love the concept of it takes a village to raise a child. A great idea to create the thread 🙂

@Former-Member made a great suggestion (thank you  🙂 ) of popping information here about the organisation PANDA- who support women, men and families around perinatal depression and anxiety.

I look forward to having read over the thread in more detail soon.

Hope you all have a lovely day 🙂

That made me smile @Former-Member

Great idea @Former-Member. COPMI is another helpful resource/website etc. Maybe we can share some resources we've found helpful along the way if anyone wants to add any?

Re: The Virtual Village - a space for parenting 'stuff'

@CheerBear @Former-Member

Hi to you and everyone on this thread. I am sorry for late reply. I worked all day yesterday and was in the hospital ward all last night.

My little girl had an accident as a bookshelf fell on top of her and left her with brusing. I feel terrible. I have told her not to climb but it happened 😭She is holding up ok just both of us had a scare. It could have ended up much worse. I was in the kitchen cooking when it happened. Those little things tear me up because it could have been avoided though it's hard when trying to multitask 😓

@Former-Member i feel the same way about men too you are not alone there. Almost every guy that has come in contact i steer clear of.
I don't put all of them in the same category but more so than ever i am more aware and more guarded

Re: The Virtual Village - a space for parenting 'stuff'

Hope everyone has a good day 💐❤️

Re: The Virtual Village - a space for parenting 'stuff'

Hi @Former-Member.

🙁 for the accident. That would have been so scary for you. I hope you're both going ok now.

I hurt when my kids hurt and I extra hurt when it's something that I feel I could have stopped. I know that I can't stop all hurt and that accidents happens, but mum guilt is a big one. It's impossible to be in as many places at the one time as we need or want to be sometimes 🙁

I think I remember you saying that your little person is looked after on Saturdays. Is that so you can work?

We've got a busy couple of days planned here which is good because busy means less opportunity for boredom. It's also supposed to be pretty nice weather so hopefully we'll be outside burning energy off (though the flip side is that it requires energy that I don't have as much of as they do).

I hope that the weekend goes ok enough for all big and little people around.

Re: The Virtual Village - a space for parenting 'stuff'

Hi @CheerBear

Sorry it is so late getting back to you.
I was very scared as soon as i saw her underneath it i panicked & thought the worst

Seens to be ok though brusing has gone down. I hurt too.

I worked all day in the resort from 9am.
We were heavily booked. My little girl gets babysat or attenda preschool on the days i am working.

The resort is always busy. How was your day and how are the kids going? ❤️

Re: The Virtual Village - a space for parenting 'stuff'

@CheerBear Geez look at my spelling today 🤦🏻‍♀️

Re: The Virtual Village - a space for parenting 'stuff'

Hi @Former-Member - no need to apologise. It's totally ok to come and go and reply or not, if/when you can and want to 🙂

Far out that really would have been scary to see her under it and I can understand the thinking the worst. Is that why you were in hospital? (If you want to say)

I am not sure if you've shared and I've missed it, or if you can/want to share what it is you do for work? Is busy at work a good thing?

I've had a good day today thanks 🙂 We did a bit of socialising and then spent a few hours at the beach in the afternoon/evening. It was pretty warm here today (still 30° at 7pm) and the tide was right out so the kids were able to play in knee deep pools of water in the sand. They had heaps of fun and wore themselves out (bonus!). I am tired but feeling good inside tonight.

I hope you and little one have a restful night tonight 🙂

Re: The Virtual Village - a space for parenting 'stuff'

Hey 👋 @CheerBear

I am not asleep i have been getting back to people through phone. I was in hopsital that night jus for the reason with my daughter.

I haven't been too well last week and got some tests done but i haven't heard anything yet. I am pretty certain i am low on iron or something else is going on internally. Just run down and more tired than my usual exhaustion. I also have swollen glands.

I am glad you had a good day! That sounds so nice with the kids. I was thinking of taking my daughter while i am off tomorrow to the beach with cupcakes later 😂❤️

It helps when they are entertained. I stress when mine may not be as she is at the age where she does not sit still or does not want to focus on one thing it's more like a million different things at the one time or shopping picking out things she does not need like her mumma lol.

I couldn't believe it the other day i heard her say she wants a phone and some moisturiser. My little girl was a little bit tomboy until a little while back.

It's amazing the things they come out with.
She is at the age now where i feel like i can actually have a conversation without sounding like a tool 😂 Now we just get each other & it is so much much easier!! 💛💜

Hoping you had a nice dinner and had some time to yourself tonight

Re: The Virtual Village - a space for parenting 'stuff'

Morning @Former-Member ☺ I hope you and little one slept well last night.

Little ones (especially around that age) definitely keep you on your toes! Even going for a walk can turn into a dodgem car experience! I had a giggle at the not sounding like a tool thing! It's lovely to get to that point where conversation can happen and that's so cute about the moisturiser/phone/shopping mini you-ness happening 😊 Sometimes I look at mine and think that there's some mini me happening (and then I hear my mum's words about karma haha 😆)

I hope you both have a really good day. Cupcakes on the beach sounds so nice ❤
