nawwww! the jackets sound cute! @Former-Member, such a great idea on how to make them too. I'm not very crafty in that way! Hope that you get to keep new doglet!

@Former-Member I live your new pic. Perky and owlish ... perfect!
I am glad you are back fully as you.
I kinda let you go when you said you were going, because I have this thing about being free, and not controlling or coercing, releasing into the wild Born Free style, but I would have been deeply sad as I have more in common with you than most, so it would have been a LOSS for me. That I was not worth while for you to hang around with.
... and I spent today at the zoo ... so learning about middle ground between caging animals and the zoo-keepers who actually know and care more about the animals than most people. Zoos are different today than 100 years ago.
Our male lion was roaring today .. not in aggression ... but had moved over to one side away from the 4 little cubs .. and it was more a long bassy bellow sayng hello to the drizzle and the cool of the day.
We have territoriality like the animals .. but over space, ideas, theories, people ... so many things ...
Being at the zoo helps me settle so I see these things as natural and not get too tied up into perfection and religious idealism that can turn sour .. cos life on earth is ... what it is ...
one cat is mildly snoring atm ... nothing like his competition this morning ..lol
hope your dogs are well.

Found it @Former-Member .... it's this one .... teachers at school used to read it in my generation ... ๐
Its about a dog, who is white with black spots, who hated his bath, so one day he ran away, and had a high time if it, playing in dirt and mud, and eventually sliding down a coal chute, just to top it off. By this time he is black with white spots ....
Tired and hungry he goes home, but his family don't recognise him because he is the wrong colour now. After performing all his old tricks, and still they failed to recognise him, he went to the back yard, dug up the scrubbing brush he had hidden there, raced inside and sat himself in the bath, begging.
After having a dog who hated baths, this was weird for them, but they bathed him anyway, and it didn't take long for them to work out it was Harry after all .... and they were overjoyed to have him back ....
Have to ask our schoolteachers whether the book is still in use .... @Former-Member @Zoe7 .... but probably not .... guessing it would be considered outdated now.
Yes ... lol .. I think rainbow would be quite conspicuous ... !

Hi @Former-Member
If no one wants this doglet it could be really good for you to have another furry mate - but I guess you have to have him registered and this might find a chip - I guess this is a work-in-progress atm
I had a tummy bug and I am still getting over it - I remember being on-line yesterday but I couldn't get really into it - I didn't get up until lunchtime - not that I ate lunch - and then it took me all afternoon to get ready to go to the doctors at 3.45pm -
But I am over it today - and think I could start eating properly again -
It's so good to have you back - I wonder if any of us ever really feel totally ourselves - we have Easter this weekend and I hope the weather is reasonable - it has turned rather cold here over the weekend - we had thunderstorms and lots of rain - heavy rain - and wind that really let us know that down in Melbourne we are not that far from the South Pole
So glad you are back

@Zoe7, Oops, didn't realise you weren't a mum yet (or forgot grr), sorry. It's so easy to put ya foot in it here on the forums ๐ Recently i was taken back when someone took offense to me 'liking' their posts, then a mod told me to 'respect their wishes' What's with that! Makes me gittery every time I see that profile pop up, crazy. Brave new online world we have these days lol How are you feeling this morning? Any plans? I have to clean up, mail an easter card or two, grab paper, see if anyone advertising this very cute dog. She was up on my bed in my face this morning 'till i got up and fed her, pretty cute. You take care xox
