Re: The great yoga adventure

Hi @soul@frog

Hi @Shaz51

I'm still yoga-ing at classes 2 times a week. None at home, so far.

Psychologist asked me to demonstrate the Shoulder-stand pose for her (during appointment).

I felt a bit silly, but that's the 1st time that I've done a yoga pose for (with) anyone, outside classes.

Re: The great yoga adventure

Well, I & my yoga classmates all turned up for yoga class at 7.45am this morning.

The replacement yoga teacher did not turn up, she never came. So no class.

This was the last class of the term, they break for the school holidays.

So we had a bit of a social chat in the cold carpark, outside the closed door.

Then we all went home.

"At least we got to have a chat", someone said - because we're not supposed to talk during class (no-one does).

Re: The great yoga adventure

That's disappointing about the instructor not turning up @Adge

Did you do any solo yoga once you got home?

I haven't done any at all since the last time I posted in this thread :face_with_rolling_eyes:

Re: The great yoga adventure

No I didn't do any solo yoga at home @TheVorticon

Although we're supposed to do our own practice at home (the teachers say).

Everyone seems to rely on going to class...

Hello @Former-Member @Adge @TheVorticon @Shaz51 @soul @Former-Member @Former-Member and anyone who participates or wants to... How's your yoga practice going? I did 15 minutes this morning and it reminded my why I should do it more regularly.

Re: The great yoga adventure

Hi @frog. I've been thinking "I should do some yoga" instead of doing any. Somehow I don't think that counts 😉

Re: The great yoga adventure

Hi @frog I still do my 2 yoga classes every week.

I rely heavily on going to my classes (as everyone there does).

We're supposed to do our own practice at home, but nobody does (they say they don't).

I find it worthwhile & helpful, although it's often hard to get myself there.

Re: The great yoga adventure

Cute pic @Former-Member. Yoda pants - very funny. I wear black leggings - nothing fancy.

I have been doing regular yoga classes  - around four or five times a week. I find that it really  gives me a lift when I am feeling tired. I tend to do the more relaxing classes with deep stretches.

Do you use a video to guide you @frog?

Re: The great yoga adventure

Wow @soul you're really committed! I don't have a video, or a video machine Smiley LOL I have developed 2 little routines for myself from books, and the occasional class. I used to like Rodney Yee am yoga on video. He's so calm - you can almost feel it coming through the screen!
