Let me be the first to say happy birthday @Aonaran! I hope you have a lovely day. It'll have to be a coffee toast from me as I'm at work. Any plans for the day?

Hi @Former-Member,
Thanks for the kind thoughts! 😉
Nope, no plans. In fact ... I've been awake all night, so I'm about to toddle off doona-wards.
Have a good day!
Aonaran

Dear @PeppiPatty,
Thanks Anne! You're very kind! 😉 (I think we all mentor each other, don't we? Isn't that how it works?)
I got a whole bunch of automated birthday messages from websites, most of which wanted something from me, including one from a porn site I've certainly never been to that included links I'm assuming were phishing or ransomware attempts, and one from an IT forum that I was permanently banned from over a year ago. (Not my fault, and my ears still burn when I think about it. But I guess no-one in gaol is ever guilty, either.)
What a wonderful world we're making for ourselves, eh?
And I've gone back to uni (online). It's only orientation week, and I'm already feeling overwhelmed. O mo chreach 'sa' thàinig. What have I done?!

I don't miss those essays 🙂
I do miss the challenge of learning new things and testing my own beliefs and understanding of complex concepts!
May I ask, what you're studying?

Of course, @NikNik,
It's a Bachelor of Communications in Professional Writing and Publishing.
Far too late to have a career, but I need to get some cogs turning. They've been gummed up for a while now, and the pull towards letting it stay that way is frighteningly strong.
