Re: Struggling to be

Hiya @Ellie, @MoonGal, @Former-Member, @PeppiPatty,

So good to read your posts.  It's like I've been away from the table for such a long time, and now I want a massive bowl of sghetti.  (Yeah, my Little Bloke wants in on the conversation.)  With lots of parmesan on top, so it smells like baby's spew.

So, how was your Solstice Festival?  Nourishing, I hope.  Would love to hear.  😉

Re: Struggling to be

Hi everyone. Sorry for my absence. Things have been difficult the past month or so, especially with Christmas coming up. For those of us who struggle at this time of the year, I wish you all the best and may 2016 provide a much smoother passage for you.

Thinking of you all,

Ellie.

Oh no thanks, @PeppiPatty PepPa,

There are so many things in life I don't know about, but I do know better than to get involved in a women's chat circle. 😉

Re: Struggling to be

That's hilarious @Aenoran
When my sons were teenagers I told them ; when your 'girlfriend' or boyfriend ever sits with a group of friends you just say yes. Sometimes whoever your in a relationship with just needs to talk and they'll chop and change so just say yes.

Re: Struggling to be

Hi I also have been reading for sometime now and this is my 1st post! I understand what you mean by watching life through the haze of meds? Xmas is like a cycle revolving for me, as I always seem to stop my meds each year about September October - I feel great but then relapse at xmas😳 Bin nearly 19years now! I have schizophrenia and I hate how I feel on them! I was diagnosed at 27 drug induced psychosis and I have found reading the forum posts very helpful, I am certainly not alone- thanks for listening😊Kind regards stu

Re: Struggling to be

Dear @Stu

Cool .... @Aenoran's thread ..... This one ...... Is intellectual ..... I can relate why you say hello on this one.

My name is Pp, lived experience : I'm a proud consumer meaning access mental health agencies in the past.
My husband ..... Like you .....
It's hard to get to a conclusion about your own life regarding med. my oldest son decided not to take med though he's got drug induced psychosis. I wish there were people like you who had work visiting and supporting young people like my oldest son .....

Re: Struggling to be

Yes I go 10 steps forward and 11 steps backwards sometimes? My fault though as I try really hard not to use the meds and do very well for a few months and then bam! I retreat back into my shell. I have an awesome kind and understanding partner and our kids are awesome too! I was reading the post on telling children and found it very interesting also. It's true children do teach us things about ourselves ? I've taught hundreds of them and loved every minute of it? A big range of ages, some now are kids of past students- now that's a buzz! But the next generation is going to shock us that's for sure? Giggles ok thanks for the kind words, I'm rambling a little!
