Re: A long rave

Great to hear you are snug as a bug, @CheerBearHeart

Me too with my big fluffy dressing gown, such a wise buy from ebay from England, where it really gets cold. Under that, trackies, socks, fluffy slippers (black with big silver hearts on both the toes), and nightie. Smiley Tongue

I intend to try to go to this appointment today. Even if I've had no sleep. It is mainly one long bus ride, then a really short bus ride, then a short walk to get there. Probably take about an hour from home (giving myself about half an hour spare). I could be there up to two hours. If I'm really exhausted at the end of it, I might get a cab home.

Is yours looking like an okay day?

Re: A long rave

Getting a dressing gown from England is a great idea @Mazarita! Mine is giant men's dressing gown but it's not the warmest anymore. Yay for hearts on slippers! I have big black furry boot things. They're very cool ๐Ÿ˜

It sounds like a long day for you. I hope you make it there, though can understand how extra challenging it may be to do without sleep.

Today I had planned on spending time with my new guy friend but last night the person staying with me came home from the hospital feeling very down and miserable, so I think it might be best to spend the day with them instead before they head back to the hospital this afternoon. I don't know what we'll do as they're not feeling up to much. I feel bad, but I'm not really keen on spending the whole day feeling miserable with them. It's a complicated, big feelings situation for all. I suggested we go to the movies together. It won't take too much energy and it might be a nice time out distraction maybe. We'll see โ˜บ

Re: A long rave

Movie sounds like a really good suggestion, especially if you pick a good film between you, @CheerBear. What kind of movie would most distract you? Woman Happy

I was watching an old b&w movie, young romantic comedy. Enjoyed what I saw of it, including a song, it was a semi-musical movie. Woman Happy

Re: A long rave

You have such interesting choices in shows and movies @Mazarita! Does C enjoy the same kinds of shows?

I have a real problem with sitting still long enough to watch much of anything. I haven't sat through a movie from start to finish for a long time, outside of a cinema which I do rarely and with the kids so it's animated usually. The only reason I sit through it then is because I'm stuck in the cinema, and I love when they ask to go to the bathroom etc as it gives me a moment of out.

So long story short (lol) I have no idea what would be a good distraction! If we go, I'll ask person to decide and then spend the hour and a half breathing and practicing trying to concentrate and focus (and will probably fail at it).

Re: A long rave

C is up and I've just had cereal and a brief chat, @CheerBear. He's probably not in the mood for talking too much really. Thinking I could catch a taxi there and back from the neurologist. I'm not in the best shape for the public buses really, a bit unsteady on my feet too.

Totally relate to what you say about not watching whole movies. I can't remember the last movie I watched end to end.

Re: A long rave

Sending you lots of โค @Mazarita. It sounds a bit daunting maybe, especially with being unsteady on your feet. I hope it works out for you today. Will be thinking of you and looki g forward to hearing how you get on.

I better get moving. All are up and lunches are calling now. The movie "Adrift" might be what's on for us today. There's not much else on that looks remotely interesting at our local cinema. I'll charge my phone and play Simon's cat crunch time if I have to ๐Ÿ˜†

Big hi to all and thanks for the tags which I wanted to reply to but didn't get to last night. Hope the day goes well for all.

Lots of Heart back atcha, @CheerBear. Woman Happy

Re: A long rave

Just rescheduled my neurology appointment for about a month away. Better than being out there on the buses, or even in taxis, with no sleep and headache that is threating too much with serious nausea. Couple of close calls already, one just now. Even if I can't sleep, it's safer to be home in this state. Feel good about doing what I've done. Even if I'm sick, I can be easy with how I take this day now.

Hope it's relaxed day all round and to all.

Re: A long rave

Hi @eth, still here. Morning has broken and sun is shining on the palms, wooden paling fence and next door rooftop. A glimpse of blue sky.

I seem to be less nauseous sitting in this chair for now.

Hope your day unfolds gently. ox
