@Kurra @Shaz51 @Appleblossom @Faith-and-Hope @Mazarita @CheerBear @Teej

I got the GP to sign these forms for my University Lecturer that I suffer mental health issues and I'm full-time carer for a man who is my husband and suffers Chronic Paranoid Schizophrenia and I can get extra time to do assignments and just get a bit of stress taken off because of my situation. It didn't click when it was happening but I called her this morning and she said, now PeppiPatty, we all have problems and we need to just get on with it don't we?

I laughed and agreed not realizing qhat she was saying:

but now I feel annoyed.......grrr.......what to do?

Re: A long rave

Good morning everyone @Mazarita @CheerBear@Teej@Faith-and-Hope@Shaz51@greenpea @outlander and anyone else around today.

I've a lot of notifications that people mentioned me, but they all have the same weird email from SANE requesting I verify my membership again, so I can't reply directly to them.  Thanks everyone who was thinking of me and sending well wishes yesterday morning.  I've posted about the meeting on the 'Anyone started with the NDIS?' thread.

I'm fasting this morning coz I need to have a path test this afternoon.  Support worker is coming today coz she has a training day tomorrow.  So I need to spend some time choosing a few recipes and planning a shopping list.

Bro took me to buy a vape (e-cig) yesterday so I'm trying it out this morning.  Another piece of technology for me to learn   No instructions in the box.  The guy in the shop showed me it in detail but I can't remember what one of the buttons is for.  Will look for it on YouTube at some stage.

Hope today is starting well for you all xx

Re: A long rave

Morning everyone ☺

Great to see you and hear that you got through yesterday OK enough @eth. It's such a stressful experience. Good luck with the vape. I did something new and different with tech recently too. I caught an uber! I remembered mentioning here not too long ago, that it was not something I thought I would be able to do. I had my DSP assessment and didn't think it would have been safe to drive myself there or back from, so I did that instead. It's great when tech works for us.

@Mazarita hope you had an OK/OK-ish night. Interested in hearing how you're going this morning.

@PeppiPatty - sorry to hear that the comment from your doctor (I think?) has left you feeling annoyed. It sounds dismissive and would probably be something that irked me too. I'm not sure if there's much you can do with that aside from perhaps mentioning to her that you felt annoyed (and/or whatever else it is that you were feeling) after hearing it. I'd ask myself whether it would benefit me to express my frustration before saying anything though. Sometimes comments that seem flippant are worth stopping and addressing and other times I find it's better to let them go (I struggle a bit with the latter though!). Great to hear you have support with uni and I hope it helps you.

@Teej best of luck with today and your decision making. Big hugs.

Morning to everyone else (a tag list would be huge so a general hi from me). Hope the day starts off well for all ❤

Re: A long rave

Congrats on using Uber @CheerBear.  Not so long ago I used Shebah a couple of times (women drivers for women and children passengers)....... but it's not affordable for me on a regular basis.  Otherwise I'd be doing a good bit more than I am.

Re: A long rave

Hello Everyone,

@MazaritaI'm sorry to hear your new friend has triggered anxieties for you, though I understand. There is no absolute resolution, but I think one of the best thing to do might be the hardest, & that's to be honest. Tell this person you suffer anxiety & that it has been triggered & is affecting you badly now & that you need time & space to recover. Ask them not to call you again. If they don't listen there is the possiblity that their brain is processing in a dangerous manner, the only thing I know what to do then is to tell the police. It is an absolute last resort for me, but I have had to do so on a few occasions in my life time & it has helped. At the very least I then know somebody official is aware of the problem.

I feel sorry for your new friend, wrong, right or otherwise; I have no friends, no family members that speak to me, very little human interaction at all. I'd say the local librarian is my best friend & she wouldn't be aware of it 😉 I doubt this person is deliberately behaving in an unacceptable manner & I don't imagine it feels like a lot of fun for her. But I think it's important to try and realize our own limitations, otherwise I think we all have the potential of behaving in an unacceptable way & I'm not just talking about those with official MH issues. Love to you Mazy Heart

@outlanderSorry to hear your not coping very well at the moment, proud of you for being able to tell us Heart I think taking some time & space for yourself is one of the best ways to help & encourage others HeartHeart

@ethThinking of you Heart I can only image, I can not know, how exhausting & stressful yesterday was for you. I hope everything went well & your resting peacefully today HeartHeart

@TeejGood on you for getting out there & meeting with your friend. I know how often I plan to do things, feeling so positive that I'm going to go through with it . . . & then I don't - you did it!!! You go girl!!! I know when I do have to go out, it's like a blur, when I finally get home & start trying to process it, it doesn't feel real; but eventually, if I'm lucky, it becomes a memory & those things are some of the most important things in my life Heart

Love to all Heart

Re: A long rave

Good morning and thanks @Exoplanet.  I hope today is going well so far for you.

Re: A long rave

I was a bit of a Hero yesterday!!! Well, I can & am telling myself that 🙂 I was heading into town to collect a dvd from the library & to take the dogs for a walk, when I came across this car that was bogged in the sandy clay on the side of the road. There's a fair bit of dirt road to go through to get to the highway here & this young fella had spun-out on a corner & gotten stuck. He told me he'd fallen asleep - I'm actually guessing he was just going to fast; I had a racket-strap in the back of my little 2WD ute, he hooked it up to his 6 cylinder holden sedan & as he reversed, I pulled him out! 😄

WOO HOO!! 🙂 😄 😉 ;D
