Good morning @Mazarita @Appleblossom @CheerBear@Shaz51 @Exoplanet @outlander @greenpea @Teej and anyone else passing by today.
@Mazarita hope I've caught you live this morning and that it's a nice one for you.
Re northern NSW - I lived up there for a few years. My all-time favourite place is Minyon Falls, near Rosebank. I lived not far from the base of the falls in an outdoor camp on and off for 2 years. Usually had somewhere on the coast to use too, but home was the valley (off the end of Fox Rd). Brunswick Heads is beautiful too.
We've had whale sightings here lately - saw 7 on Thurs when out with my sw. Beautiful beasts breeching between us and the horizon.
Will go and catch up on the last few pages now.

Hey @Exoplanet I'm pretty sure there's still free camping at Rummery Park, not far from Minyon Falls. In the Nightcap Forest - 1/2 hour inland from Byron Bay. Between Rosebank and Federal.
Hope you find a great destination wherever you get to.
I miss being able to do spontaneous camping trips (heaps).

Hi again @Mazarita and @Faith-and-Hope that article you linked to is good food for thought. I just wonder how different our lives would have been a) without traumatic childhoods and b) with much earlier diagnosis...........???
There are loads of famous artists, actors, creative people who have been identified as having bipolar - lots of them posthumously (sp?). It's really good how a lot of them now 'come out' about it publically - tho' the stigma lives on in many parts of society.
Fantastic news about your son's achievements @Appleblossom I'm happy for you both.

@Mazarita Hi Mazzy you are such a cool hippy chick ๐ I can just see you sporting your tie dyed t shirts and shorts watching the whales. That is so cute ๐ xx

Morning @greenpea How's your weekend going?

@eth Hi eth it is going so 'pea'cefully ๐ I am loving it. I slept in this morning and only woke up because my rabbit jumped on my bed to tell me it was time to get up! He wanted his treats. I watched the billboards movie last night and really 'enjoyed' (if you could say you enjoyed such a violent movie) appreciated is probably a better word for it. I love the lead actress she was wonderful.
How is your weekend going? I have heard nothing re NDIS appeal yet ...

Hey @greenpea Billboards movie really moved me too. Tho' I did reach a point where I thought that the topic really wasn't anything to laugh about. I think the lead woman was brilliant too.
I hope you hear something favourable from the NDIS, and soon too. I know how it feels to be on the hook waiting.
Glad to hear your weekend is full of peas!

Hi @Faith-and-Hope, good to see you. I really like that idea of 'amoral' when considering one's own 'disordered' traits in bipolar. I think it is a balancing act with the 'addictive' aspects of creativity.I am much more effective now creatively than I was when my bipolar was out of control, untreated and unmedicated. I was barely functioning even as an artist (which has from a young age felt like my vocation), let alone able to cope with the strict routines of regular workplaces. But, with a helpful supportive framework of treatment and medication in place, my states of being are stable enough to start and complete things (even if in the middle of the night). Good to read your thoughts on this at more length.
Hi @eth, sorry I missed you in real time. Saw your likes just before I was about to go out the door. To the beach! First time in three months! Walked the full length, barefoot, feet in the water. Sun warmed, feet cooled. Got the first length of the beach without much pain at all. But the walk back got harder and harder, more from my lower back but also in one of my feet. Typical me, overdid it on first time out, lol. Oh well, it was worth it to touch base with the ocean and sand again. Will get back out there next week again I hope (physio recommends only once a week). How awesome you had whale sightings! None here today, hoping for at least one before season's end.
@Exoplanet, I agree with eth about Minyon Falls, lovely place.
Hi @greenpea, I have kind of found myself a hippy, rather than actively sought to be one, lol. But you are just about right with what I was wearing on the beach: short black leggings, bare feet and a multi-coloured, but mostly green, flowy Indian tunic. Cute maybe, and also roly poly, on the beach. You and your rabbit are very cute.
