Re: A long rave

@eth, I'm okay this morning, though I have only had about four hours sleep. Stayed up until about 8am, got about two hours sleep in the chair. Then went to bed and got another couple of hours. I think I will stay awake now though. It's been helpful expressing all that dark stuff about my past last night. I am haunted by a lot of memories from back then on a very regular basis, so it also stirred things up a bit, but in a good way, I think.

How are you this morning?

Re: A long rave

@Mazarita had a nice sleep in will go tomorrow. Legs are a bit stiff so decided a rest would be a good idea. No major news just have furry friend sitting by my feet as I type this out (oh for his life rabbit heaven).

What do you have on today?

Re: A long rave

@Mazarita glad to hear you're feeling some benefit from your deep sharing.

I'm ok today, still getting started really. Slept on and off from 9 last night til after 9 this morning.  Quite a lot happening around here - sil's mother arrived yest eve, all her furniture etc arrived a few hours before her so I helped sil for a while sorting things as they were unloaded.  Then a function to celebrate the cancelling of the plan to build another coal terminal (would have been the biggest in the world) - quite a party at the local bowlo.  I stuck with sil during it, bro was busy being a social butterfly and a bit of a hero!  A friend of theirs also stayed overnight but I haven't seen him yet this morning.  Bro and sil and a few helpers just got back from picking up another water tank for our vegie garden that bro scored cheaply (he's good at that).

Meanwhile I'm dwelling on a job I need to get done before Monday's plan meeting with NDIS.  A document showing my goals and what supports I hope to have for each of them.  I've sort of done a draft last week, but I find it hard to prioritise them, which I am supposed to do.  And select the most important 3 or 4.  So I'll be trying to link smaller goals together according to the funding categories.

So with all of that I'm still waking up (took meds late last night) but my mind is busy.

Hoping to go to a vape shop today and get set up with an e-cig.

Re: A long rave

That's a great idea with the vape, @eth. Did I tell you that I bought one myself some time ago, but within two weeks of having and using it, dropped it from a height on to a hard, tiled floor. I've read about vape machines blowing up when dropped or damaged. There was even a report of a death in the US from this happening while using it. So I've decided it's better to be safe than sorry and haven't used it again. However, I'm also very reluctant to spend another $70 to buy a new one. I did like it though. The taste was so much better than cigarettes (I had lemon and lime flavour with nicotine in it, ordered from New Zealand). It was a good machine while it lasted and was resulting in less cigarettes, I believe.

I can imagine how hard it might be to prioritise needs, when all of them are needs. Best wishes with that clarifying for you over the weekend. I will be thinking of you a lot on Monday. Hope sil's mother settles in well and that she is a friendly addition to the extended home. Great that the coal terminal was stopped!

@greenpea, good to hear you are pulling back sometimes to give your body a rest. How lovable your pet rabbit seems to be. Still loving the image of you and the rabbit. Today I may try again with the new friend, see if she's home a bit later and would like a spontaneous coffee visit. Other than that, no real plans.

Re: A long rave

A sponanteous visit sounds great I hope it works out for you 🙂 I have been nursing a plant that I bought for my neighbour for a week because she has been so kind to me but she has been away .... I dont know what to do?? It is presently sitting in my bathtub. Her daughter is very sick with cancer .... I suppose all I can do is keep holding onto it until I see her gate open (which always signals she is back). What would you do?
