Happy to hear anything that is convincing to choose to not give up

I have contacted every possible person, organisation, anyone for a moment of support. I have got nothing but a fortnightly email back and forth for an hour with a psychologist who doesn't even know me. Help feels like it's not coming and I've been fighting daily to not give up and pray for relief from the overwhelming grief and loss.

My sister told me today I will never be in their life again and can't tell me why or what happened. I wish that was the only family member but it's not and my will to live is dwindling. I am just so sad and really don't have any resolves.

I don't know if there is hope but I've been so desperate I even called mhcall who could only connect me with said hospital and after how they left me to die and are being now investigated I know there is no way of getting help there.

So if anybody has any idea of how to survive and stay alive that would be great because I'm running out of resolve and am just not sure I can hold this much longer

Hey @Judymay, thank you for sharing your experiences with the community!

I'm sorry to hear about your sister, that must be really challenging to cope with. Sometimes we don't get the support we expect or need from even the closest people to us. You are demonstrating your strength and resilience by reaching out to your peers here on the Forums. And it is not easy to be vulnerable when we are going through some challenging MH.

I noticed that you mentioned that you had tried contacting every organisation for support and just wondering if you have been referred to the Guided Recovery with SANE? I will add the link here so you can check it out if you haven't: Guided Recovery

We also have the Support line where you can speak with a Counsellor for a 1:1 ad hoc session:

SANE Support Line: 1800 187 263 Counselling

Thanks again for sharing your experiences with the community!

Take care

Re: Happy to hear anything that is convincing to choose to not give up

Thank you @RiverSeal im very angst about contacting another service when its over a relay service due to be nonverbal it's hard I feel like they just encourage me to apply ndis which I have or tell me to go to hospital which due to my disability and just spending 94 days in there is not what I want hence why I'm trying to get support out here

Re: Happy to hear anything that is convincing to choose to not give up

I am in a wheelchair, this is a new disability for me but does anyone know what happens at a hospital if you go? Like mh don't have the facilities for disability so is it redundant? I dint know maybe someone has an experience?

Re: Happy to hear anything that is convincing to choose to not give up

We are so glad to have you with us.

We would love to continue connecting with you here on the forums. I'm sorry things are in such a difficult, dark place at the moment.

What are things you love doing, or have loved doing in the past? @Judymay

Re: Happy to hear anything that is convincing to choose to not give up

I hear what you are saying @Judymay ,

Whilst prevention and recovery centres (no necessarily hospital) are inclusive, if you need 1:1 support 24/7, then it may not be a possibility (unless you have a support worker).

This is something you could have asked about before discharge. Will you get to see your treating team any time soon?

Re: Happy to hear anything that is convincing to choose to not give up

No sadly they were medical and wanted me gone asap so even told me all these things would happen for discharge and none of them have happened. It's been devastating to say the least. I am truly alone and help is not coming sadly. I think I just have to come to terms with it because I have really tried everything in my power to save myself and it's not working

Re: Happy to hear anything that is convincing to choose to not give up

Hey @RiverSeal @o just tried that number but it's only open business hours. Oh well I was throwing at anything anyway I tried

Re: Happy to hear anything that is convincing to choose to not give up

Hey @Judymay ,

Yes, they are open 10am-8pm Monday to Friday. You could try:

Lifeline 13 11 14 https://www.lifeline.org.au/

Lifeline Text Support 0477 131 114 https://www.lifeline.org.au/crisis-text/

Suicide Call Back Service 1300 659 467 https://www.suicidecallbackservice.org.au/

If you don't mind me asking, are you under the age of 26? If so, I could suggest other services too.

Re: Happy to hear anything that is convincing to choose to not give up

Thank you I have sadly tried those services and been unable to find support through them.

I am 35 so do not fit the criteria for youth unfortunately before this happened I was a social worker. I always thought o knew how to access services but I was m at a total loss after trying everything I can google and think of.
