A friend, whom I live with, is on the Disability stream of the study payments. Due to them needing supervision for schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder and suicidal ideation I have had to quit work to look after them.
If I try to claim any kind of carer payment, will that negatively impact on the payments they receive from Centrelink? Neither of us really have an income, and I don't want to jeopardise their income for the sake of my own.

Hi @Famlith
I'm so sorry you haven't for a response yet! I have moved your post to an area of the Forums that is more visible to members.
I think it will be tricky for others to answer however, as these payments are really different from circumstance to circumstance.
My suggestion would be to contact your state's mental health carer organisation. For example:
Hope this helps!
