Hi @Jo-do, welcome to the Forums! I hope this can be a great space for support.
It can be incredibly challenging to suddenly be in a caring role and it is normal to feel anxious, frustrated, overwhelmed - all of the above! We have a lot of very wise carers here.
While I do not have the same lived experience of a carer role, I hope I can provide some useful information:
- How to set boundaries with someone you love
Information on setting boundaries which are super important to care for yourself
- What support is available for carers?
- Carer Gateway: Support services for carers
- Carer Gateway: 7 things I wish someone had told me when I became a carer
I hope this can be helpful and that others here can chime in with their wisdom!
Glad to have you here Jo-do 💛

Hi there @Jo-do
Welcome to the forums! It sounds like a really challenging situation you're in. I hope some others can offer words of advice and support. @Peregrinefalcon has some great resources for you. I also wondered if you've checked out facebooks groups on Facebook for parents of children with oppositional disorder?
Sending warm wishes,
Hanami
