Thanks @Snowie . I managed to get a few things and will be cooking my own meals 😊

My sister rang to inform me that mum has pneumonia which they won’t be treating. Just keeping her comfortable so I’m now trying to schedule a trip to Sydney prior to my surgery. Don’t even want to think about what else could happen 😢

I'm sorry about your mum hon. It's a really hard decision to make, whether or not to have treatment. Something we went through with my Dad.

I hope you are able to get up to Sydney to see her hon.

I’ll go to Sydney on Saturday @Snowie  unless mum deteriorates then I’ll go sooner. I’ll take gd1 with me as mum hasn’t  seen her baby yet.

Mum turns 96 this year and I know she won’t live forever but still….

I don't think it matters what age they are. People say they're better off, they weren't living in the end, blah, blah, blah. Honestly it doesn't matter. It is still hard to comprehend and to deal with. It might even be expected, but doesn't mean that we hurt any less. It is still hard.

My day has been ok. Went to the supermarket this morning and then a nap this afternoon (prob b/c of the prn).

Thanks @Snowie I saw my pdoc this morning which was good.

Mum is stable and enjoying the tennis when not sleeping. I booked our flights to go and visit so it’s a busy 9 days prior to my surgery.
