How to Access Support?

I live in a rural area at the moment, and I'm having difficulties accessing mental health treatment and support. I finally found a psychologist that bill bills telehealth via Rural Health Connect, however she does not want to treat my trauma until I have a support network. I live alone and I don't have any friends or family in the state, and I'm not in a position to be going out into the world and making friends either. So I decided to apply for the NDIS so that I can get supports funded that way, and begin treatment. My psychologist filled in an ARF form for me, after 6 sessions. When I gave this to my Local Area Coordinator, they told me that they actually need a different form, for psychosocial disability. I finally had my 7th session with the psychologist today, and she said that Medicare doesn't fund the type of assessment I need. So she is unwilling to treat me because of my lack of support, and unable to help me access support. I don't understand what I'm supposed to do. It feels like this whole mental health treatment journey I've been on for the last decade is nothing but a bunch of people waiting for me to die so I'm not their problem any more.

Hi @Celestia1

I just wanted to send you a quick welcome message. Sorry to hear you're having such a hard time accessing the support you need. It is often a very dysfunctional system, where one hand doesn't talk to the other. No doubt members of the forum have experienced similar frustrations, and will be happy to share and support you through this arduous, and often draining process.
