Heya @BlueBay,
While it's great that your daughter is there with you, it also just sounds like you want to be on your own right now - that's ok.
Is being close to your daughter a good or bad thing? Might sounds like a silly question, I know. But I ask because you mentioned that it make you sad because it remind you of the relationship you had with your mum (perhpaps it can be both).
P.S. you have not wrecked the night for anyone. This is the place where you can be you.

Hi Shaz51. Thank you for mentioning me tonight - I appreciate same. Had not such a good day and it
has been a struggle getting going. Thinking of doing pet fostering as I'm a great animal lover and would
enjoy the company. Tomorrow is another day and things get better. Good or bad, all things pass with time.
Do hope you are having a pleasant evening and this will be the case for the weekend. Hugs and cheers to you and your family. Bimby2

Hey @CherryBomb
I feel a bit of both (if that makes sense). I try to be a good mum, i try to do things with her when she wants me to. But at the same time I feel really sad as well.
I know if she wasn't here i would have been really bad tonight being on my own. So i guess i am safe tonight.

Hi @Jacques,
Please stick around. I hope you don't mind me commenting on your discussion with @Former-Member (and please @Former-Member let me know if I've gotten it wrong, but I don't think she is upset with you. It seems like she was offering a perspective.
In situations like these if you feel like you've offended someone, it can help to clarify how the other person is feeling. Not clarifying can lead us down rabit holes and assumptions, which may not necessarily be true.
Hope you don't mind me offering my two cents here.

Hi @BlueBay,
Makes a lot of sense to me - seems like the relationship with your daughter reminds you of your mum, but at the same time, you're happy to be close to your daughter.
Our memories of previous relationship can haunt us, and it seems like the one of your mum is hovering around you and your daughter (if that makes sense).
