Re: The Beer Garden

No one knows I'm going into hospital. I've got next week off work. But I don't think I can take more than a week off. I just want to feel normal again. I don't understand why this is happening again. I can't cope with getting sick again.

Re: The Beer Garden

It's really good you have next week off work @Former-Member. I know it really sucks when you get sucked into the vortex of being unwell. I've spent a fair bit of time there over the last month especially too. If you don't get a bed try to do everything possible to de stress. I'm pretty sure what you think is happening at work is worse than it really is. Maybe from tonight try really hard not to let work stuff in at all. I don't know how to do this by the way but I do know you need a break from it all the sounds of things. A pamper @Former-Member sounds what is needed.

@Shaz51 On second cider living dangerously now 😝😳. Is it still hot where you are? We had a lovely day here. I'm not good with the heat or tropics in wet season.

@utopia I think the avatar was more about me than you. I love seeing everyone's avatars. I didn't mean to pressure. Lots of the time I wish I didn't have mine as it is so identifying and I'm trying to slip under the radar for something. I hate seeing my pic 3 or more times in a row on the latest posts. It used to really bother me but now I'm building a bridge and getting over it.

Re: The Beer Garden

Thanks @Former-Member. You've always been so supportive of me. I really appreciate it. It's so nice when people seem to get you.

Re: The Beer Garden

Hello @utopia, I did not pick a picture for over a year my friend xx

Yes it is hot up here @Former-Member, which is unusual because it should be raining xx

ha ha we got no more beer left and i know hubby would hit the roof if i had another one , might have a shower and a cup of coffee

I am going to sleep in tomorrow , i hope xx

Re: The Beer Garden

@Former-Member. I'd be happy to put up an Avatar - if I mentally could. I think I'd choose a Sulfur Crested Cockatoo. Love these birds. And like me - they don't shut up.
I couldn't put up anything that identifies my area of Victoria. And I can't use an Aboriginal image without permission - so I'll pick a flying cockie.
Do you want to change your picture?

Re: The Beer Garden

Hi @Former-Member

I hope you are not getting sick again too - that would be unfortunate

However - getting into hospital for a while will give you space to clear your head - something so hard to do out in the real world with all of life coming at us head-on

If not - as some one else said - shame on me - I can't remember who

All the best - we are all here for you

Re: The Beer Garden

Hi @utopia

I have mixed feelings about your friend and "other Mum" dying - at least this has come to pass as you knew it must - not that it is ever easy

I hope you don't have a mini-meltdown - and don't have to pretend to hard to go on as normal

Amazing that you have been and seen Aboriginal Fire Sites in local caves - I would love to do something like that - I would like to know more about my adopted son's background but I don't want to interfer with his birth mother's life when really I am not doing this for her sake but rather following my own for my son's sake

And amazing that those fires have been burning for 2,000 years - that is a long time

It seems as if the time was well spent Utopia

Re: The Beer Garden

You are most welcome @Former-Member.

@utopia I had thought of consent and copyright too. But it is really cool 😎 to hear what you would choose too. I don't mind my avatar, it is probably pretty close to the mark for me although a native vibrant purple flower would be the best fit. Sometimes I just get sick of seeing me on the forums and having no avatar would help be more anonymous at times but it's not a big deal just sweating the small stuff really.

@Shaz51 It was about 22 degrees here today and that is my perfect climate 18 -24 degrees is what I like. I'm really just a big wuss. I hope you get some rain soon to ease the heat and build up a bit.

Re: The Beer Garden

Aw @Jacques - my dear friend

I am sorry you are not in a good place - and lack motivation - which happens after the flu I think

That can really knock eople around - a lot of people have been sick in Melbourne because of the Asthma Storm we had - what? two or three weeks ago - that wouldn't help if you live in Melbourne

Have the best Christmas you possibly can though - I know you are one of those with few people in the world

Re: The Beer Garden

Thanks @Decadian. Sadly I think that boat has already sailed.
Does anyone else feel like their thoughts get stopped when they're ill. It's like mud up there. Like everything turns off. Like I'm not me anymore. I'm just a hollow shell of pain.
