Got to sleep about 1.30am. Woke again at about 3.00am. Haven't been able to sleep since. So, yeah, 90 minutes for the night. Feel alright mentally at the moment anyway. Just writing here to occupy myself really. I don't feel up to doing anything aside from computing. Psychologist appointment later today and then a meetup with a friend. I hope I get to nap sometime this morning so I've got some energy for it.
@PeppiPatty, hope you and your husband have had an okay night after some tough moments yesterday.
@everyone, hope the day treats you well.

Good morining. I got a lousy night's sleep too, but feel surprisingly well. Breakfasted on Duck with vegetables, prawn toasts and chocolate wafers so maybe that's why i feel good! I've also bought myself the most incredibly unhealthy muesli which basically consists of fat and sugar and i'm looking forward to having that for lunch! If you're going mad with boredome mazarita - find someone to help as soon as you can or line up some other kind of work - i've got my articles to write today. and have a look at these wonderful links, ladies and gentlemen: cop these!

@Mazarita. Morning. I'm a bit bored already. Mazarita, I have some advice that you might like to consider re the green (please appraise my advice for yourself). I have heard that the green is particularly bad for mental illness but I don't know if this varies from person to person or illness to illness. I DO know that it takes a fairly concerted effort over 30 days to change a habit and I think one is meant to substitute another habit during this time. Now, I don't know if this is good advice, but I was going to suggest alcohol (at least it's legal). Actually that is probably bad advice because then you'll have to get off alcohol. I gave up alcohol in favour of hot drinks all day every day and into the evening (the only issue with hot drinks has been making sure i put a minimum of sugar in them which i have mastered and is no longer a problem). Comfort-eating isn't a good addiction either as that affects health. I'm not sure what a 'good addiction' looks like. i have had some very supportive friends helping me so that might have made a big difference. Anyway, i'm doing very well on the 'hot drink' addiction and the only time i feel like slipping back into my problem-drinking (i never drank a lot, but a bit too much, and most days) is when i have a drink out of 'psychological habit' and then get the taste for it again. if i am pretty strict with myself it goes fine. as i said, i have got a supportive cheer squad at the moment. anyway, i hope this advice might be of some use. And remember, whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you're right! And god bless. Hope you have a nice day today.

hey Jacques, good morning! I suppose you are tucking into your croissant right now! yeah, there's a lot i could do today. the article i wrote needs to be re-written completely, which is a bit boring, and stupid of me. i've got a sub-editing job due but it hasn't come in yet. i could work on my books but that would require self-discipline. i've got a free ticket to an art show in town and feel like going out to lunch, without the company of any of my australian friends and without some yobbo staring at me because i'm sitting alone (hopefully). i might work on my ikebana arrangement too but i really have to get a busier and more organised work schedule. Comment allez-vous?

@Jacques as you've probably realised i am chiefly creative by nature, when i am not busy intellectualising and picking fights or reaching out to people (the latter i don't do well enough yet - i can be very contrary 😞 ).
i love art and know a fair bit about it - i knew more about art when i lived in europe. i know a bit about literature and theatre. i like abstract art, i guess. thinking about it, i don't seem to see much abstract art (apart from the endless references you get to jackson pollock in australia). maybe abstraction is a bit out of fashion at this point in history? as far as australian art goes, my favourite australian artist (possibly of all time) is ron mueck. and i absolutely love some of harold arkley's pieces. brett whitely is/was of course, very good. and i liked dobell. lloyd rees? dunno who else. i've read a little on architecture, geography, dunno - science (a little). i've read up on other religions but i'm not interested in them any more. dunno. sorry - raving now. what have you got planned for today? are you well? it sounds like you are well 🙂
god bless 🙂
