Today is a day of trying to get some knitting projects completed such as a kids jumper and an adult beanie along with hopefully completing an adult jumper for myself- the neck and sewing it up- as it’s been cold here in Melbourne over the last few days and I need a new jumper to wear! Luke Combs is being played via my phone whilst I do this and I’m really enjoying his music.
I had my Telehealth appointment with the local mental health service psychiatrist on Thursday and he’s decided to put in a referral to the regional PARCS complex as he’s going to also look at changing my meds whilst I’m there which is a positive considering the other PARCS I used to attend wouldn’t do this. The regional PARCS is a minimum 2 week stay and up to a month which I didn’t expect as my previous PARCS was limited to usually 2 weeks at the most due to the demands of the service. I guess that’s the difference between city and regional services and something I’ll have to get used to if I’m to stay in country Victoria- depends on the whole rental property situation of course. The PARCS complex is 2 hours from me so it’ll be a train journey there as I refuse to drive that far alone and it’s cheaper via the train. At least I’ll be able to knit on the train and be productive at the same time. There is also a Spotlight store in the town where the PARCS is so that’s a good thing for me if I need to purchase extra craft things as well! I’ve got a phone assessment with the PARCS staff tomorrow afternoon and will take it from there.
As for my silly rental payment situation, the property manager finally got the payment on Friday morning after my housemate had to call the bank and chase it up. The property manager got nasty with both of us as the week went on saying we didn’t pay rent when we clearly did but refused to apologise for the comments. Typical property manager on a power trip as usual!
My housemate has been in and out of hospital again with a new infection in her arm brought on by medical mismanagement and it’s really affecting her physical and mental health to the point where the local mental health service is involved in her situation. It’s like she can’t win with her health situation and I’m so sorry for her as I can’t do anything to help her.
Time for me to go and chill!
