Oh I forgot - yes
Sorry @Judi9877
I'm sorry things are tough sweetheart. We are here for you.
Your messages are very nice to read in the hobbies you do. The knitting !!
In the past 3 months I have done practically no hobbies. I am usually hand sewing or making a quilt but iv been too ill with waiting for this damn gall bladder to come out.
I think @Jacques has had same problem but the difference with him and me is that he goes to the gym whereas I don't.
I get big problems with having anaesthetic in an operation and am usually quite ill for up to 6 months after the operation.
@Judi9877 @ It sounds like you have way too much on your plate right now, and
It's brave of you to reach out and share this.
I've been thinking a lot lately about the work of Dr. James Doty and Terry Real, and their writings/audibles/iTunes seem particularly relevant in situations like this
The neurologist Dr James Doty writes about his work on compassion and the neuroscience of kindness. He emphasizes the importance of self-compassion. It's so easy to be hard on ourselves, especially when we're struggling, but true resilience comes from treating ourselves with the same kindness and understanding we would offer a dear friend.
May I also just tap @Gremlin24 , it sounds like you need to give yourself permission to not be perfect, to acknowledge the weight of everything you're carrying,
He talks about how even small acts of self-compassion, like taking a few deep breaths or acknowledging your pain
without judgment, can make a real difference
Terry Real, a couples therapist, talks a lot about the importance of connection and the damaging effects of disconnection. He emphasizes how crucial it is to reach out for support when we're struggling.
. Real suggests that reaching out, sharing our vulnerability, and allowing others to support us is a crucial step toward healing.
Wow how can you change this instead of feeling lonely ,?
If you see your GP could things change ?
