Re: Good Morning!

Hey @Dimity Airtasker is a bit pricey like TABs said. But I understand you want your house done.  I imagine there would be plenty of workers willing to do the job tho'.  Next time try hipages or serviceseeking. They can put in quotes.  I know its crazy this time of year and you need the job completed.

Re: Good Morning!

@TAB I release the funds when I'm happy with the job

Re: Good Morning!

@Former-Member I tried Hipages but the only person who responded didn't have a clue, said he'd stand on the roof and spray my grapefruit and roses with herbicide

Re: Good Morning!

OMG that is funny @Dimity. Yes youre right you can release funds when youre happy with the job, just be cheeky and follow them around the house to keep them on their toes lol! Its so hard saving money on a limited income and then having to pay for services and tradies etc...Sounds like hipages is all booked up anyway so hopefully this person does the job properly. Good luck! 😉 I hope it all works out

Re: Good Morning!

I hope it goes okay @Dimity  can govt do something? like the pay for carers and cleaners in some cases , couldnt they shift stuff as well?

Re: Good Morning!

well, I said Uber eats is dearer than it used to be @Former-Member @Dimity  think the whole 'gig' thing not sustainable .. lots of them going bust now

Re: Good Morning!

Thanks @Former-Member . Yes I'm drawing down savings to try and get on top of things, and it's not easy to find a reputable tradie. I'm pretty sure the last plumber I had wasn't licensed, and the electrician left rubbish behind.

Re: Good Morning!

True @TAB I used to get menulog for home delivered food when I did not feel like cooking but one cafe had a minimum order of like $35! and another bakery stopped using it as a delivery service.  It was good while it lasted lol! I now have to make my own diabetic friendly food. Meh.

Re: Good Morning!

I had a oneman band electrician come and replace a power point (his call) as it had a loose wire. he talked and talked , on and on, went to bunnings and came back with cheapest power point ever seen, actual work 10-15mins max , the rest of the time he was talking and driving himself to bunnings. bill was like $95 lol glad I wasnt paying it , but just daylight robbery @Dimity @Former-Member
