A new kitten/ cat sounds a lovely idea @Bimby2 I hope that works out well for you.
My Jelly cat is not as affectionate as I would like, either - though still good company.

Jelly cat had "Chicken Surprise" for Dinner tonight - after she licked it all over, to taste-test it first.
It was a surprise, because my neighbour dropped it over (especially for Jelly) - & because she doesn't often have chicken.
No complaints from Jelly cat - the chicken surprise definitely got her "Seal of Approval".
