Things sound like they are going in the right direction at choir... Because you were able to help create that movement by giving those pamphlets and bring supportive of someone ... Difficult?!? 🙂 hope you have given yourself a pat on the back 😊 @Appleblossom

Re: 365 Project

Dear @Maritza
I've done very ' little , ' in the real world ..... I'm not upset about this ...... I'm personally thinking that I'm getting better every week. But have done some volunteer work in mental health, about 5 years ago for a couple of years. What I used to think was : peer based support was the absolute best ......that it was never the hospitals or Psychiatrists that helped...... The change comes from within and having peer based support...... Like ...... Prompting ...... Anyway it feels your becoming like a butterfly ....... Choosing right plans

My husband I think feels like this too. He's at home doing his stuff ...... Probably because for the next 2 days I hope to be able to start cleaning my home ......

I really want to start making things for a stall - it's been a dream for many years

Re: 365 Project

I lived living up north near Alice springs (well 5 hours away) miss the dry heat

Re: 365 Project

I spent a few years when I was young .. following the sun ... but now I am not as mad about the heat ...

yet it was nice to sit in cafe at Williamstown today and get 20 mins of Vitamin D before we changed tables and sat in the shade ... gettin old and grizzly ... but had lovely lunch and little walk with old friends.

Re: 365 Project

I Love the heat only when the beds got clean white sheets on and my air conditioner is on

Re: 365 Project

Yesterday, I had a visit from a man born in Malawi.  He saw the picture of a Masai on my wall and told me how they drink the blood of their cattle.

Later that night, I was watching the Stanford nueroendocrinologist, Robert Sapolsky lectures and he mentioned the same cultural practice.  He mentioned it with great gesticulation and intensity designed for a little laughter from his students, whereas my visitor was just calm and matter of fact.  Just gives me a sense that my world is connected.

For a long time I have been saying I cant travel but I the world is coming to my door .. its my way of addressing the excessive western cultural practice of burning up jet fuel and boasting about it in public forums ... tut tut.

By the way ... I dont think Sapolsky is mad .. I am just commenting on relevant things in my life ... I know the difference between data and datum, and will watch a few more of his lectures. Just keeping up to date, little things like stimulate my mind positively ... I didnt make the connection last night ... but now as I am typing.

Ah! the value of ....our own gaze.

Re: 365 Project

Funny how connections like that happen! Wonder what the probabilities of that subject coming up twice in the same day are... Perhaps now is the time to buy a lotto ticket.

It's a nice day here today. Sun is shining so getting some clothes dry! ... Just slightly behind in the washing... Oops

Re: 365 Project

Yes connections do seem to happen more than statistically likely. Jung talked about it Freud less.

Sapolsky was discussing Shamanism and meta magical thinking ... but I was so scientifically "superior" I couldnt believe husband with BSc read the stars ...Woman Happy  I do believe it is a mad world

... I better my washing out too .. thanks for chatting over the back fence ...

ooops we are not supposed to be able to be metaphorical ...

Re: 365 Project

Lol on Freud I'm reading a book by Lavinia Gomez on Object Relations ...... Fairbain a Paychotherapist writes Freuds wrongs eloquently by writing ...... His theories were out of synch by the time Einstein was writing up new theories ..... Wow
The things that blow me away is that ...... This book was my 'Bible,' in 2001 I mean I've read it so much it's just loose pieces of paper throughout because I've written my notes all through it
But I am seeing new new meaning in this book
Unbelievable
I was going to send this fab book to my oldest son. Someone who is So much more evolved than me and So much more intelligent. So glad I didn't.
