@Lostandalone, just found this hewad, great idea, hope it is 'safe' but hard for sensates like me lol There's a lot of ppl here who blatently pass over me, even ones I've connected with. I don't understand. Anyway, today i'm reflecting on "mental illness"
- am i REALLY mentally ill because I get depressed, suicidal ideation and sometimes anxiety?
- am I REALLY "mentally ill" because I struggle with trauma flashbacks and avoidant behaviour?
- is a person without psychosis REALLY be Mentally ill?
- is 'delusion' psychosis? or just faulty belief choices? I know lots of people with no MH history who run with some really STRANGE and wakky ideas. Where it that line drawn between 'delusional' & 'wakky. And why is having 'faith in God' seen as delusion? Perhaps the MH 'system' is threatened by faith as it can't 'control' it, and because 'faith' has helped far more people in crisis than it ever has.
- why should people put their 'faith' in a proved failing MH system that also has such a high suicide rate among its leaders?
- Why does society use the term Mental Health in a derogatory manner? I can't count how many times my "mental Illness" has come up in arguments and especially court room settings even when I'm not 'hospitalised' for decades and working... basically in recovery? People do hold it AGAINST you forever in my experience... especially family. And that really hurts.
No, I think we should stop shoving people in boxes and rear each other as people.
I've become a recluse because of the attitudes of others, and how easily they hurt me, yet, I'm not an island and it is equally as painful, but different, to feel so alone.
