It really is good news with the plan @Mazarita. I have to try and remember that this time is not forever, and keep hold of the things I want and need for my life beyond right at this moment. I'm sure my plan can help either way.
That's funny with the psychiatrist. Much better to have a short, to the point, helpful appointment than one that doesnt have time to cover it all! Curious to hear about your Friday plans, though only if you can/would like to share.
I had a highlight of the day yesterday that I just remembered. My muddled one has a best mate at school who recently told them they are gender non-binary. It was a big deal for both of them and their parents spoke with me first to give me a heads up, not that there was any concern from me at all. Yesterday mine was short and sharp with the doctor at their appointment, not hugely impressed by the whole thing. The doctor was trying to build rapport with them and find out how they are in lots of contexts, and asked about their friends at school and whether their best friend was a boy or girl. My little had no hesitation saying that they were non-binary. I could feel the surprise in the doctor and a moment of wondering what to say in response. It was a cool moment where I felt proud to have raised such a confident and open minded little one who in a way tripped up a paediatrician 😉

Love the story about muddled one and their open attitude to their friend's non-binary identification, @CheerBear. I can imagine the surprise in the pediatrician! Reminds me of how colour blind I was as a child, something my mum laughs about in relation to one particular story. My best friend and I used to be allowed to go across to the school hall some lunchtimes to sing and make up our own plays. Mostly we were left alone there (hard to imagine now!) but sometimes our nun-teacher would come over and see what we'd come up with. On one occasion my friend and I were doing something based on 'Snow White'. She was playing Snow White and I was the Prince. The thing my mum laughs about is that my friend was very dark skinned, from Mauritius, but we thought nothing of our casting choices. I wish I was as enlightened now as I was then!
I think it's great that you are thinking ahead with your desires for the future and how the NDIS will help facilitate those aspirations for you. This time is definitely not forever and it seems so helpful to be looking to the future for yourself in that way.
My Friday plans were arranged yesterday. I've almost finished three videos now from the footage I shot on Sunday, one each for the two poets who performed, and one for the musician who did a set there too. So on Friday I am heading back to the country town, by bus this time. My friend is going to pick me up from town and then we'll head back to his place where he and I and the other poet will watch the videos. Then we will be heading to his good friend's little gallery, where we will both check out the latest exhibition she has on there, a sculpture show. I am becoming friends with this woman too, and we are talking about possibly putting together a program of videos down that way next year. Then I'll be heading back home on the last bus out around 4.30pm. It's all very exciting and a much bigger independent bus trip for me than usual. Really looking forward to getting out of town on my own.

Thanks @CheerBear. Once again, it's so heartening to be able to share some of the good stuff going on for me too. I might not be here on Friday morning as it will be an early start and a big day so will probably need to try to keep myself off the computer that morning even if I am up at ridiculous-o-clock. Sending love and kindest wishes for your today.

Hi @Mazarita, @CheerBear, @Zoe7, @outlander, @Sans911, @Faith-and-Hope and all
im here/ not here much 🤦♀️ at the moment. I am mostly ok but I am so tired and scatterbrained. I have now had the :pile_of_poo:s for 5 or so weeks and am not any better. Today the psych confirmed that it was quite possible/likely that I wasn’t getting much effect from any of my medications or food for that matter as everything is passing pretty quickly through my system. I know my mood has been lower but I’ve been trying to brush it off as a phase. I see my GP tomorrow to get to the bottom of this (pun intended 😜).
Just wanted to acknowledge that I know I’ve not been very good at responding again and to make sure you know it’s me not anyone else on the forum. My psych appointment today was good but I am wrecked now, just so tired and scatterbrained (have I mentioned that yet :face_with_rolling_eyes:😳)
best wishes to all 💜🤗
just posting a teej pic cos I can 😝
this pic might explain a bit. I’ve had to give up coffee and all dairy lately. 😳

Oh, @PeppiPatty, that decision about the NDIS and Mr Buddha seems so clearly wrong. There are ways to appeal. I will tag @eth into this conversation. She went through a long process of appealing her intial rejection, has finally secured financing, and is being helped a lot by the additional support. So hoping something can be done for you and Mr Buddha with this. You both deserve much better.
