Yes @Former-Member
My psychologist had me practice mindfulness while hugging my daughter. Smell her. Remember what it feels like to hug her. Really take in the moment. That way when I’m in a bad way I can pull on those memories and hopefully it will help.
my daughter gives the best hugs
shes fast asleep next to me now and I’m not really tired yet

Does she have that soft little purr, not quite a full snore, that only little children have? @Bow
And that is a lovely memory for you to draw on during difficult times. I do exactly the same.

Oh @Former-Member You should have seen him - he was still white underneath but brown everywhere else - and I had to bath him twice to wash it all off. He also likes to 'help' in the garden. He is not a big digger but likes to roll in the leaves and weeds when I pull them out - suffice to say, with his hair it takes ages to brush it all out.

He is a smart doggy. Who would want to dig holes when he could get a leaf massage and a mud mask?? People pay good money for those kind of luxuries 🧖🏻🧖🏽♂️ @Zoe7

hahaha @Former-Member He is a smart dog but often not a clean one lol I have often thought I need to get some doggy ear muffs to put on him when I am using power tools ...he sits so close sometimes I have to move him away - both so I don't fall over him and so the noise isn't as close ....but with his floppy ears covering him that is probably muffled enough.

Yes @Zoe7 I can see your concerns for his hearing. To add to your earmuff dilemma….. how would you fit them with his droopy ears?? 🥹 I would like to see that! Maybe he needs some ear plugs that you can fit underneath his droops?

You are so right @Former-Member I will need to rethink the ear muffs ...I will get back to you on that one 👍 Here is a photo of my little girl too...
