hello @BlueBay
Bunnings has probably provided many days out for families....singles....people...
I have often wondered off into the outdoor section whilst husband busies himself looking for tools...whatnots...
Do you enjoy gardening @BlueBay..
I love gardening....am only able to do a small amount at the moment....better than nothing..
@Appleblossom I did not intend to diminish the intensity of a panic attack at all...so apologies if I came across that way...
I do not underestimate anyone's experience with symptoms of mind unwellness...
Yes I have read about and watched in the past programmes in relation to Vale Richard Gill....he certainly made his mark in the music world...his work with the Australian Youth Orchestra and Sydney Symphony Orchestra...only touching on his making a difference ....
As for climbing up ladders of influence...never been my thing...when does it stop....there is never enough for people who go down that track...
well I should have been in bed ages ago...am hyped from so much socialising....that is what happens when you isolate for so long then start rehabilitation from physical repair....
hopefully get back on track tomorrow night..
night night all.....

Glad you had a good day with your relatives. @Sophia1
Sorry I may have gone on a rant in my last post. Please do not interpret things personally. I did not think you were a social climber. Maybe there was a comment from someone else in that direction. and my silly mind took off .... vrmmmmmm ... like a sports car ...
I guess for me, I was exploring my actions, decisions, experiences of grieving, now and past, closer and more public. Feeling slightly healed by being able to share public grief, eg re Richard Gill, as opposed to the supposedly "shameful" disenfranchised grief in my family. Noticing the expressions and stories that follow ...Where I was continually pressured one way or another to be silent.
I did not think you were underestimating the difficulty of panic attacks. Sophia.
I have had to sift through intense feelings of anxiety, panic and grief. Sorry to return to my personal story. Part of the reason I did was to keep me honest. I do believe that personal bias of workers need to be looked at within the MH system. Accepted and the connecting with the wounded and hurt. Some bias can be positive, but without declaring one's interests or bias can allow confusion ....
I am only slightly healed though.
Often women do more of the work of grief, although I am sure there are exceptions.
It is late and I am really tired too. It has been good to talk & learn about things.

I’m the same @Sophia1 i love looking around the garden section while hubby looks at stuff inside.
I do live gardening. Our old house was on two blocks snd hsd heaps of gardening in different sections. But when we sold we down sized and thought we didn’t want too much gardening. To be honest I regret it. Gardening especially watering gave me space without hubby to just be. It was peaceful and calming to be out.
Do you have a big garden @Sophia1

oh dear @Appleblossom
This could turn into an "apologising post"
I too did not mean that you meant about what I meant>>>>>>>>>>>>>blech.....
I was apologising "just in case I had " said something....
I am a very sensitive person and have openly acknowledged this...
My pdoc has continually encouraged me to see this as an asset....Growing up in a family where it was seen as a weakness....living with depression from an early age has created some negative pattern thinking..
He even said to me that he wished there were more people like me in this world..
Wow...I have not had that said about me very often..
Yes having an opportunity to vocalise grief about those in the public limelight passing away is very important...
As we acknowledge any grief...the opportunity arises for us to further be able to release some of build up of past feelings from grief....
The passing away of Princess Diana was a classic example of this...the world mourned her....at the same time mourning their own inner stored grief...
I think that you touched on an important factor @Appleblossom...the mention of learning about things...
These forums are not only a place for support...they are also a place where those to follow can read back over the experiences ....journeys of others ....
leaving a pathway for others to learn to start to open up...

Hello @BlueBay
Great to read that you love gardening also....
We have recently sold our property and are currently renting...
We were on 5 acres ...although only half of that was house plus garden...there was still so much to prune...weed and yes water...
My isolating period eventually stopped me even going out in the garden for long periods of time..
When I pushed myself I would find that I spent too much time weeding and be worn out..
Also seeing all of that hard work...so much weeding and pruning added to my depression..
Currently we are renting...I do a small amount of gardening here when my back is not sore..
The new house will have a small garden at the front and side and a small area at the back where I want to have some raised garden bed for vegetables...
Using pots in a small area can allow you to still garden in a different style....You can be quite creative and incorporate some garden art...have a little special corner for yourself...
This will allow you both to have some personal space..
My husband and I are very much individuals who need our own space ...our own time..
Let me know if you have currently any pots ....
Sophia

all of the plants that you are growing in pots is great...
I get frustrated because I cannot lift too much at the moment..
so even putting soil in a pot is a nightmare...
we found silverbeet growing in the garden when we arrived at this place...a waste as I do not like silverbeet...I love english spinach though and baby spinach...eat heaps of that..
we also have chives growing here which I have cut and used many times...
a friend brought around some welsh leeks for me to plant ...it looks a bit sad at the moment...
I have planted a tomato plant.....has flowered so fingers cross will get some tomatoes..
I was outside earlier watering the pots and raised garden beds...I find that very grounding and calming...
speak again soon
