Mr Darcy starts round 3 of chemo today., thinking of you and mr @Former-Member 

how long does the treatment go for ?

My SIL has a rare cancer which she has had treatment, it has gone quiet but she needs to have whole body scans all the time as the cancer moves 

My FIL had prostrate cancer which went to his bones , he wanted no treatment

@Shaz51  present plan is to have 6 rounds of chemo with a scan at the half way mark to check on how things are going. All of this subject to Mr Darcy remaining well.

I know I do`nt have a partner with cancer and MI 

but I have had lots of family with cancer xxxxx

@Shaz51  docs are happy with progress thus far, however the scan will show if treatment is working and if things are looking any better in relation to an area where he had an infection.

Husband has finished 3rd cycle of chemotherapy with only 1 more to go in a few weeks time. Radiotherapy of 25 sessions finished a couple of weeks ago.

I was concerned about his mental health and emailed oncologist prior to latestclatest asking if an alternative to the steroid could be given with cycle 3. She was adamant his mood was normal considering what he is going through. I told her he seemed manic to me - becoming aggressive and argumentative. Husband was shocked having no memory of his behaviour. It did no good, oncologist gave steroid with chemo 😞

Thankfully he has been ok! No mania but extremely tired and trouble eating anything. On protein drinks again to get through.
