@Faith-and-Hope Thanks for asking. the house is coming along. So much cleaning. Hubby is unbelievably slow and being very awful. Yesterday, after I'd cut my foot (probably on glass) and was dripping blood everywhere, he went off and rang a friend. Then gave the phone to me to pretend I was fine, when I'd disinfected and plastered it all up. After that, he was blase and kept saying 'you seemed ok' and then he laughed and I was furious, so I threw the only thing I had - a bucket of water all over him. He then started yelling and I lost it and he tried to call the police on me for assault. That is his obsession. Every time he gets me so distressed and I can't cope, he says I'm insane and claims assaullt as I sit sobbing on the floor. He insists I'm the problem and 'we' need counselling so I can learn how to behave rationally! I will be going to counselling so someone else can tell him his behaviour is extreme and intolerable. this cannot keep going.

I am glad you are seeking intervention @artee ...,, it seems he needs someone else to get through to him. I know in our own situation I have been told that the husband-wife dynamic prevents me from being effective in reaching into my husband's denial .... not ours particularly .... the husband-wife dynamic in general.
Ironic, isn't it ? When we are the ones who are standing closest and living the drama, almost likspe spectators .... except it works more like bumper-cars .... !!
Sendign you hugs @artee, and wishing you courage and perseverance. There may come some opportunity for you to have hours or days of respite at least.
Will be praying for you ....
❤️

Morning @Faith-and-Hope @Shaz51 @artee,
10 x coffee's for me please, so sleepy this morning, how are you all doing today?
That sounds like you had a really emotional and exhausting time with your husband @artee, maybe some counselling will be able to help you deal with his reactive behaviours to your emotional needs, that can be really draining in a relationship and talking to someone who is not involved, will help to clear your head and release some tension after these incidences, so good on you for seeking that extra support.
Hope your foot heals quickly 😉
take care,
Lunar

Dear @Shaz51
I am ashamed to write that it took me many years to understand Compassion. I thought, well, If I'm coping with a vicious Mum and Dad, divorce, dying son and furious son, you can do it and I just kept on.
No, no, it doesnt work that way.
Could you just go to bed? Buy a Take 5 magazine and make a glass of water.
Be firm. WE are here for you honey,
PP
