Carers helping Carers with the NDIS
Carers Australia has a range of resources available to help Carers prepare for the transition to the NDIS. These resources include a carers statement, carer checklist, videos, fact sheets and information to support NDIS pre-planning activities. Please click on this link for more details: Carers Australia NDIS Information and pre-planning resources
Carers Australia also has a project called Peer Conversations. This project builds the capacity of carers to support the people they care for engage with the NDIS. Carers Australia has a number of parents and carers who have already been through the NDIS transition process in various locations across Australia, and are registered with us as Peer Partners to help other parents and carers to understand the NDIS and be as prepared as possible. These conversations are booked through Carers Australia and held via teleconference. If you would like to have either a 1:1 Peer Conversation or book a group session, please click on the following request form: Peer Conversation request form If you would like more information about the Peer Conversations, please call Kylie or Linda on 0261229900
