Hi there,
The SANE Forums, in partnership with the University of Sydney is currently conducting an evaluation of the SANE Forums. Whether you're a member, or just visiting the Forums, you are in an ideal position to provide information about your experiences of using the SANE Forums
So let us know what you think.
Your participation in this study will help to develop a greater understanding of how participating in the SANE Forums impacts on your mental health, sense of community, and use of support.
If you agree to participate, you will be asked to complete an online survey, which you can access here.
Before commencing the survey, you will be required to read a Participant Information Statement that provides details about this research project. Once you start the survey, it will take up to 20 minutes to complete. Your responses to the questions will be confidential and stored within a secure password protected online system only accessible to researchers involved in this study. Any information you provide will not be linked to your SANE Forums username.
At the end of the survey, keep an eye out for the opportunity to participate in a 20 – 60 minute semi-structured phone interview, in which you will be able to talk about your experiences on the SANE Forums, how it’s impacted your mental health and how you think the Forums could be improved. If you do not wish to participate in the interview, you will not be required to leave your contact details.
Further information regarding these interviews will be provided in an additional Participant Information Statement, which you will find at the start of the survey.
Thank you!

Hi @mrkotter and @Former-Member
We're hoping to explore the impact of participating on SANE Forums across the areas of social connection, stigma, sense of community and mental health (hence the K10) in relation to frequency, lengths and type of SANE Forums use.
The evaluation of the SANE Forums also forms part of a mental health campaign, the 'Thriving Communities Initiative'. So we're also hoping to explore reach and impact of that media campaign too.
I'm sure we'll share the results early next year once the reports are finished and we've gotten feedback.
Thanks for participating!
