Hi Teej, I think you should practise mindfulnes no matter what frame of mind you are in. This helps you to develop a regular habit and to work through any mental blocks/barriers which you might have. Sure that requires motivation however know that you are practising mindfulness as a personal investment. If you are upset - sit with that and experience yourself. If you are feeling positive - sit with that and notice that in your body. Stop only if you feel it is too overwhelming and you find it is impacting your ability to function as you will in normal life

Unfortunately we've finished up for the evening! But please feel free to have a look back over the posts and the exercises from the night - there's some information on attitudes of mindfulness, a video introduction, a guided sitting practice, and a few other exercises written down in the posts.
I'd also encourage everyone to continue the conversation about their experiences with mindfulness, perhaps in a new thread in the 'Looking After Ourselves' section of the Forum! That might be a really good way to talk about aspects of practice with one another and share ideas!
