I heard from my psychiatrist this morning, she was filling in my tafe forms. She wanted to know what i wanted her to write lol. I suggested that if I had an episode that I may need extra time to finish assignments or assessments, that kind of thing. I am going to be able to go pick up the paperwork this afternoon. I am hoping that my tafe studies go smoothly and I won’t need the accommodations but it makes sense to put them in place.

I have a bit of educational trauma too. Sometimes you just have to face the fear and try. I plan to just take things one day at a time. It’s never too late to study. Also you can just do it part time

How is everyone going? My orientation is tomorrow and classes start on Friday. I have been online and looked at this week’s learning materials and there is a lot in there. Not sure if I should start looking at them today or wait until after classes on Friday. I guess they will tell us what they expect tomorrow…I did already print out the PowerPoint.

I just had a look at my timetable. I figured I should. I have a prerecorded orientation day on the 10th. I'm not sure if that is the orientation video i've already watched or something different. But the 10th is also when unit 1 opens up and I can access the online study. It all seems to be online self-paced until the 25th when there's a 'online forum' in the morning. Who knows what that is. Then there's an option study day on the 5th March, followed by another online forum on the 11th. There's a couple of prerecorded webinars in between. I like the self-paced online stuff with not having to travel and the flexibility. (which basically translates to not having to get up early) but I do miss just having contact with people.
This continues until the assessment days on the 8th, 9th, and 10th April. The 10th of which is my oncology appointment so i need to let them know and see what needs to be arranged there. I think one I make a start, I will get more into it, but it's just finding the motivation to get started at the moment.

How exciting @Blackcloud @Oaktree @MJG017 !
For me, I'm in the middle of 2 courses. So the honeymoon orientation phase has been long gone and over.
@Oaktree ,
With the materials, you may want to skim over everything, but don't stress too much over it. You can write notes as you go. You are so organised 🙂

@MJG017 , sounds great 🙂 Do you feel pumped? It sounds like your course is mainly online?
@Blackcloud , is yours mainly face to face? Are you excited?
